Dutch Put Anti-Immigrant, Anti-Muslim PPV in Euro Parliament
The PPV party  of Gert Wilders, a controversial Dutch politician and film producer (Fitna) who has been banned from some countries and faces prosecution in his own, appears to have won a substantial victory in European parliamentary elections, placing second.  Wilders has been heavily criticized for characterizing Muslims and the Koran as an extreme theat to society. At a lecture in Florida  recently he allegedly told audiences that Europe is on "the verge of collapsing" due to Muslims. "Islam is not a religion...Islam is a totalitarian  ideology." Comparing the Koran to Mein Kampf, he reportedly told an audience,"The Koran is a book that calls for hatred, violence, murder, terrorism, war and submission" and urged a forced assimilation contract, a ban on new mosques and a closure of Muslim schools.  Center Director Brian Levin at the time said, "Free speech rightfully protects even conspiratorial haters to exploit fears from stereotypes, and animus from half truths. It also requires that  people of good will completely repudiate such contemptible manifestations of Islamaphobia in the strongest terms possible, which I gladly do."
