Civil Rts. Leaders, Center Director Meet With AG Holder on Cold Cases
Center Director Brian Levin, civil rights advocate
and Advisory Board member Alvin Sykes, former
federal prosecutor Doug Jones and others met with Attorney General Eric Holder at his office
in Washington, DC today to discuss civil rights era cold case murder investigations as well as contemporary responses to hate crime. The group discussed the urgency of the matter, and Prof. Levin discussed improving implemetation of the Till "Cold Case" Act as well as improvements and deficiencies in current responses.
